The Soul Café invites Chickpea for a Summer collab in Antwerp's bustling South.
Located on the Marnixplaats The Soul is known for having one of the sunniest terraces in the city.
This summer, Yossi serves his famous hummus, (vegan) falafel, and other goodies from the Middle Eastern kitchen on Bob's terrace. A delight for the taste buds!

Unlike real Havana cigars, Fidel Castro cigars are completely edible. These phyllo rolls filled with beef and lamb seasoned with cilantro are perfect as a main dish, but you can also easily share them as a side dish or as a starter. The cigars are served with tahina, salad and pickles.
If you think chef Yossi's culinary skills are golden, you're not far from the truth. Before putting his heart and soul into Chickpea, Yossi practiced his craft as a goldsmith. Yossi made beautiful jewelry with diamonds and gemstones.
But it was after his hours behind the workbench that Yossi was able to pursue his true passion, cooking.
His dream was to open a cozy little restaurant and share his love for Israeli cuisine with others.
In 2015, Yossi made the decision to change course and take the plunge. Goldsmith's tools were replaced with kitchen utensils. The workshop on the Oudaan was transformed into a new healthy Hummus bar. And so Chickpea was born.
Meanwhile, the concept has grown and developed further in Antwerp. However, the COVID-19 crisis meant that Chickpea had to look for a new place. And that's where Yossi found it at the Marnixplaats. Together with Bob from Soul Café, they used the crisis as an opportunity to create something new: a duo concept - Soul by Day / Chickpea by Night.
